I will be hosting a Pensioners' Fair in Wantage for local pensioners, wherever they live in the constituency, to bring together some of the key organisations that provide guidance to older people on various topics such as benefits, scam prevention and support with health issues - as well as some of the many clubs that can keep people active and help guard against loneliness.
I am grateful that so many local and national organisations will be in attendance including the Department for Work and Pensions, Age UK Oxfordshire, Barclays Bank, My Vision Oxfordshire, and Vale Community Impact. It is kindly being partly sponsored by Driving Miss Daisy, which provides transportation and companion services to the elderly, which I greatly appreciate.
It will take place on Wednesday 27 September, 12:30pm to 4:30pm, at the Beacon in Wantage.
It is free to attend and you do not have to pre-register, but it would be appreciated if you can register below if you plan to attend so that we can keep track of numbers for catering purposes.
