Before I was made a Minister, I was Chair of the Community Energy APPG and lead sponsor of the Local Electricity Bill. In this role, I was proud to have helped secure the new £10 million Community Energy Fund to help communities develop local renewable energy projects, as well as a consultation into the barriers to community energy projects in England.
I am delighted that call for evidence has been launched by the Government today and look forward to reading the results.
