Thanks very much to the 2,838 people across the constituency who completed my Health Services Survey. I promised to share your concerns in Parliament and today I secured a debate on health services in this constituency, during which I shared the results to make the case directly to the Health Minister that we need more and better local health services.
The key results were:
77% of people said they had difficulty accessing a GP appointment in the last year
44% said they had difficulty accessing a dentist appointment in the last year
97% of people said we did not have enough GP surgeries
98% said we do not have enough dentists
I have been campaigning for more GP surgeries and health service improvements since I was elected and look forward to meeting the Minister to discuss this further.
